ORCHARD INSURANCE BOOSTS WOMEN’S FOOTBALL

MBABANE – Orchard Insurance has strengthened its investment in Eswatini’s sporting sector through a new partnership with Nsingizini Hotspurs FC, providing a timely E40 000 boost to the club’s women’s team as it prepares for the COSAFA Women’s Qualifier in Botswana.

Orchard Insurance Eswatini Managing Director Joseph Museva said the partnership represents the company’s commitment to grassroots sport, youth development and community empowerment.

Museva said Orchard Insurance’s involvement in football started at grassroots level, with sport being used as a platform to promote healthy lifestyles and keep young people away from drugs and other social challenges.

He said the partnership with Nsingizini Hotspurs was intended to develop into a meaningful relationship that goes beyond conventional sponsorship.

A key component of the partnership is the promotion of Orchard Insurance’s ‘FINAL WHISTLE’ product, which has been designed specifically for football supporters. Museva said the product would not only benefit Nsingizini supporters but would also be available to football fans across Eswatini.

He added that Orchard Insurance’s support would extend to initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, women’s rights and the fight against gender-based violence, reinforcing the company’s broader social investment objectives.

Nsingizini Hotspurs President Derrick Shiba expressed appreciation to Orchard Insurance for supporting both the club’s men’s and women’s teams.

Shiba said the partnership was built on shared values, ambition and trust, rather than financial support alone. He particularly welcomed the E40 000 contribution, saying it demonstrated Orchard Insurance’s commitment to the development of women’s football.

He said Nsingizini Hotspurs was focused on more than winning matches, with the club committed to developing talent, empowering communities, supporting its women’s team and creating opportunities for young people.
