SIBANE SAMI ENDS CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK BY GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

BY PHUMELELE GAMEDZE

EZULWINI – Sibane Sami Hotel marked the end of Customer Service Week by extending care beyond its doors through a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative in Nyonyane, Ezulwini, where it donated clothes and food to vulnerable children and elderly people.

The initiative reflects the hotel’s commitment to service, compassion and community upliftment, demonstrating that exceptional service goes beyond hospitality to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

The outreach catered for 130 children. The food donation was valued at approximately E6,000, while hotel staff also contributed clothes, so that Customer Service Week closed with employees themselves playing a part in supporting those in need.

Speaking during the event, General Manager Bongane Madonsela said the hotel remained committed to making a difference in the lives of people who need assistance.

“We are trying to support the community, and we are still going to support care points as a hotel,” he said.

Madonsela explained that the outreach was the hotel’s fourth community initiative, showing its continued efforts to give back beyond its hospitality services. He confirmed that the hotel intends to extend its support to other care points through future outreach.

Nyonyane Bucopho Bongane Dludlu welcomed the gesture and expressed appreciation for the concern shown towards vulnerable people in the community.

“I am grateful for Sibane Sami Hotel for having a caring heart,” Dludlu said.

His remarks reflected the importance of partnerships between businesses and local communities in supporting people who may be struggling to meet their everyday needs.

By closing Customer Service Week with a CSI initiative, Sibane Sami Hotel showed that service is not only measured by the experience offered to guests, but also by the care extended to the community around it. Its message is that giving back should remain an ongoing commitment rather than a once-off gesture.
