For Khombindlela Vilakati, a 24-year-old car wash worker from Luve, an ordinary day turned into the moment of a lifetime.
Khombindlela became the first-ever winner of the Instacash Win-A-Quantum Competition, walking away with a brand new Toyota Quantum in a moment that drew cheers, tears, and renewed faith in what Corporate Social Investment truly looks like in Eswatini.

A Vision That Became Reality
Instacash Managing Director Mandla “Cheeks” Nxumalo did not mince his words when reflecting on what the initiative means to him and the company.
“When we launched this competition, the vision was simple: change a Liswati’s life,” said Nxumalo. “Today, that vision became reality.”
And reality, in this case, arrived in the form of a live draw, conducted transparently before a crowd and thousands of online witnesses, from which Khombindlela’s name emerged as the winner. The fact that the draw was conducted live was no small detail. It was a deliberate statement of accountability, ensuring that every entrant, from every corner of the kingdom, could trust that the process was fair, open, and above reproach.

The competition was audited by FIPS Chartered Accountants and fully licensed by the Eswatini Gaming Board, with Mongefela Investments serving as co-organisers, giving both participants and the public full confidence in the integrity of the process.
A Beautiful Thing: Youth at the Centre
What makes this story even more compelling is who won. Khombindlela Vilakati is not a businessman, an executive, or a well-connected individual. He is a young man, 24 years old, earning a living through honest, physical work at a car wash in Luve. That a competition of this scale landed in the hands of a young, working-class Liswati is, as many have noted, a beautiful thing.
“It is always a beautiful thing when youth benefit from initiatives like these,” remarked Nxumalo. “Young people are the backbone of this nation’s future, and when we can play a role in lifting one of them, even just one, that is a win for all of Eswatini.”
Instacash Is Here to Stay
For those wondering whether this is a one-time gesture, Nxumalo was unequivocal: Instacash is not going anywhere, and neither is its commitment to giving back.
“We are here to stay,” he said firmly. “This is only the beginning. We are still going to change more lives. The Win-A-Quantum is just the first chapter, there is much more to come for the people of Eswatini.”
It is a promise that carries weight, particularly coming from a company that has already demonstrated the willingness to back its words with action, putting a brand new Toyota Quantum on the road in the hands of a deserving young Swazi.
