MALKERNS: The countdown to the 20th anniversary of MTN Bushfire has officially begun, with tickets now on sale for the internationally acclaimed music and arts festival scheduled for 28 to 30 May 2027 at House On Fire in Eswatini.
Festivalgoers can purchase Full Festival Golden Lounge, Main Arena and Kids tickets through the official MTN Bushfire website. A limited number of discounted Early Bird tickets are available, with previous releases selling out within minutes.

The festival has sold out completely ahead of the event weekend for 14 consecutive years, prompting organisers to encourage attendees to secure their tickets early.
Online purchases can be made using credit cards, electronic funds transfers and, in Eswatini, MTN Mobile Money (MoMo). Buyers can also add Top Up funds to their tickets during the purchasing process.
DISCOUNTED TICKETS FOR EMASWATI
In a continued effort to improve local access to the homegrown international festival, MTN Eswatini and MTN Bushfire are offering discounted tickets to Emaswati through MTN MoMo.
Eligible customers with valid MoMo accounts can purchase tickets through the MoMo WhatsApp Marketplace by sending “Hi” to 7808 4000, selecting Option 1 for MTN Bushfire and following the prompts.
Electronic tickets will be downloaded directly to buyers’ mobile phones, with copies also sent by email as a backup.

CONNECTIVITY AND FESTIVAL EXPERIENCES
MTN Eswatini, the festival’s Official WiFi Provider, will offer free WiFi access to festivalgoers. Main Arena and Golden Lounge ticket holders will also receive a complimentary MTN Monthly Lula Combo, enabling them to stay connected while enjoying the festival.
The connectivity offering is intended to help attendees share festival experiences, access event information and communicate with friends and family throughout the weekend.
ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL PLANNING
With MTN Bushfire attracting more than 23,000 attendees from over 55 countries, accommodation demand remains a key consideration for those planning to attend.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to finalise their travel and accommodation arrangements early. Camping options are available through official campsite partner All Out Africa, while Harambee Hotel and Rush Adventures offer glamping packages.
Additional off-site accommodation options are listed on the official MTN Bushfire website under its planning section.
Organisers have also cautioned ticket holders against sharing their ticket barcodes, warning that doing so could expose them to fraud. Tickets are non-refundable.
Tickets and further festival information are available at www.bush-fire.com/tickets/.
As MTN Bushfire approaches its 20th anniversary, the event continues to position Eswatini as a destination for international music, arts, cultural exchange and tourism.
