NELTON MONDLANE TO LAUNCH THE MAN WITHOUT A FATHER IN MBABANE

MBABANE – Author Nelton Mondlane is set to launch his book, A Man Without a Father, on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at Readers Cafe, Embassy House, Mbabane, from 12 noon to 3pm.

The launch will offer readers an opportunity to meet the author and explore a deeply personal story centred on fatherlessness, healing, identity and the journey towards becoming a man despite the challenges of growing up without a father.

At the heart of the book is a question that many carry silently: What happens to a boy who grows up without a father’s presence, guidance and affirmation?

According to Mondlane, the experience can leave different emotional scars, ranging from anger and insecurity to feelings of rejection and a lifelong search for identity and belonging.

However, the author challenges the notion that growing up without a father must determine a person’s future. Drawing from his experiences with financial hardship, relationships, faith and the struggle to understand his identity, he presents the book as a deeply personal journey of reflection and transformation.

Mondlane emphasises that the book is not about blaming absent fathers or remaining trapped in painful experiences. Instead, it encourages readers to embrace healing, take responsibility for their lives, discover their identity, practise forgiveness and pursue personal transformation.

The book is expected to resonate with men who grew up without father figures, as well as families and communities seeking to understand the lasting impact of fatherlessness on young people’s emotional and personal development.

Through his story, Mondlane seeks to encourage readers to recognise that while the absence of a father may shape one’s childhood, it does not have to define one’s future.
