ENPF UNVEILS THREE INITIATIVES TO TRANSFORM MEMBER SERVICES

By Nonophile Khumalo

MBABANE – The Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) has unveiled three member-focused initiatives aimed at making its services faster, simpler and more accessible.

The initiatives, Express Claims, the Payment Gateway and the ENPF Service Charter, form part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to improve the member experience and modernise service delivery.

A key highlight is Express Claims, which enables eligible claims to be processed and paid into members’ accounts within three hours, provided all requirements have been met.

ENPF Chief Executive Officer Futhi Tembe said the three-hour turnaround is currently being piloted for eligible claims of up to E5000 as the Fund tests and refines the system.

“We recognise there may be teething problems, but we are confident in the Express Claims solution and will continue improving it as we expand the service,” Tembe said.

The initiative is expected to significantly reduce the time members spend waiting for claims to be processed and provide a more convenient way of accessing their benefits.

The Fund has also introduced a Payment Gateway, enabling members and employers to make ENPF contribution payments using debit cards through the ENPF Portal.

The digital payment option is designed to simplify contribution payments while reducing unnecessary travel, waiting times and administrative burdens.

Meanwhile, the ENPF Service Charter establishes clear service standards for members, outlining their rights and responsibilities, as well as channels for raising concerns and seeking redress when service expectations are not met.

Tembe stressed that members should receive consistent service regardless of which ENPF office they visit or which employee assists them.

The three initiatives form part of ENPF’s broader drive to build a more responsive and customer-centred Fund, with technology playing a key role in improving accessibility and efficiency.

Tembe described the launch as more than the introduction of new services, saying it represented a renewed commitment to members.

“Today, we are not simply launching three products. We are launching a new promise to our members. Your time matters. Your convenience matters. Your experience matters,” she said.

Through faster claims processing, digital contribution payments and clearly defined service standards, ENPF is positioning its services around greater convenience, efficiency and an improved member experience.
