MBABANE — Mountain View International Hotel has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities after partnering with the Helping Hand Foundation and PADS Drive in a month-long campaign to provide essential menstrual hygiene products to young girls.
The initiative, which concluded on August 19, 2026, saw Mountain View International Hotel donate girls’ hygiene products to the Helping Hand Foundation, with the donation received by Ncamiso Pads Guy Mahlalela on behalf of the foundation.
The month-long pads drive was hosted by the hotel, which invited its guests and local business clients to join the campaign by contributing towards the initiative.
Speaking on behalf of Mountain View International Hotel, Hotel Manager Tobie Motsa said the hotel believes its responsibility extends beyond hospitality.

“At Mountain View International Hotel, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond hospitality. It is about being part of the communities in which we operate and contributing to meaningful change,” said Motsa.
She said partnering with PADS Drive provided the hotel with an opportunity to support young girls with an essential need.
“Partnering with PADS Drive has given us an opportunity to support young girls with something that is not a luxury, but a basic necessity. We are honoured to play a small part in creating hope, dignity, confidence, and a brighter future for these young girls,” Motsa said.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Helping Hand Foundation, Mahlalela described humanitarian work as a personal passion and expressed appreciation to the hotel for supporting the cause.

“You can’t take this away from me. Helping other people is what puts a smile on my face. I was born for this. Humanitarian at heart,” said Mahlalela.
The partnership demonstrates the impact that can be achieved when businesses and community organisations work together to address everyday challenges affecting vulnerable communities.
By bringing guests, local businesses and community partners into the campaign, Mountain View International Hotel helped turn a basic act of giving into a collective effort aimed at promoting dignity, confidence and wellbeing among young girls.
The initiative further reflects the spirit of Ubuntu and the growing role of the hospitality sector in contributing to meaningful community development.
