TRAVEL PLAYERS CONNECT WITH ESWATINI TOUR OPERATORS AHEAD OF PEAK SEASON

By Tlalane Dlamini

MBABANE – With the peak holiday season approaching, leading international travel and tourism companies met with Eswatini tour operators in Mbabane to strengthen industry relationships and create greater access to safe, convenient and credible travel services.

The meet-and-greet, held at the Hilton in Mbabane, brought together representatives from MSC Cruises, Emirates, Global Stay Specialist and Bluu Car Rental, who showcased their respective products and services and outlined how they can support local tour operators in delivering quality travel experiences to their clients.

Eswatini Travel News was also part of the conversation, engaging with industry players and gaining insight into the opportunities, products and services available to strengthen the country’s travel and tourism offering.

Among the local tourism businesses represented at the engagement were RETA, Luxe Quest, Nolu Travel Tours and Travel with Fatima, among others.

The engagement provided tour operators with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the latest products, establish direct relationships with international travel suppliers and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The companies highlighted solutions spanning international air travel, cruises, accommodation and car rental, giving local operators additional options when designing travel packages and itineraries for their clients.

The timing of the engagement is particularly significant as the country heads towards the busy peak holiday period, when demand for flights, accommodation, transport, tours and international holiday packages traditionally increases.

It also comes at a critical time for the tourism and travel sector amid concerns over the rise of illegal and unregistered tour operators who may market travel services without the necessary credentials or established supplier relationships.

For travellers, using credible and properly established travel operators is essential to ensuring that bookings, payments and travel arrangements are handled professionally and securely.

For local tour operators, direct engagement with established international suppliers can strengthen their ability to provide clients with reliable travel options while also enhancing the overall credibility and professionalism of the tourism industry.

The Mbabane meet-and-greet therefore served not only as a networking platform but also as an opportunity to strengthen the connection between Eswatini’s tourism businesses and the wider international travel market.

As the peak holiday season approaches, the engagement reinforces the importance of partnership, professionalism and credibility in delivering safe and memorable travel experiences for clients.
