Cross-country, boxing, darts and live comedy headline a full day of sport, entertainment and community connection.
Etjendlovu Sports Ground is set to come alive on Saturday, November 28, 2026, when veteran sports journalist Linda “Master” Dlamini hosts a community Sports Day celebrating competition, fitness and togetherness.
Running under the theme “Play. Compete. Connect.”, the family-friendly event will begin at 08:00 and feature a diverse programme of activities, including cross-country, boxing, darts and a live comedy show, promising a full day of sporting action and entertainment for the community.
Born in Jerusalem under Methula Inkhundla, Linda has dedicated more than 15 years to sports journalism and analysis. Beyond reporting on sporting developments, he is also a football and teqball coach, bringing practical sporting experience and a passion for community development to the initiative.

Sports Day reflects his belief that sport goes beyond competition, serving as a powerful tool for bringing people together, encouraging active lifestyles and strengthening community bonds.
By combining different sporting disciplines with entertainment, the event aims to create an inclusive platform where participants and spectators of different ages can interact, showcase their abilities and enjoy a shared community experience.
With Etjendlovu Sports Ground serving as the meeting point, the initiative is expected to offer residents an opportunity to celebrate local talent, embrace healthy competition and connect through their shared love of sport.
The event’s message is simple: sport is not only about winning, but also about participation, unity and building stronger communities.
