ICC BOARD OF DIRECTORS COMMISSIONED TO GUIDE EZULWINI PALAZZO’S STRATEGIC VISION

EZULWINI, 25 JUNE 2026 – Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Jane Mkhonta-Simelane, on June 25, 2026 officially unveiled the International Convention Centre (ICC) Board of Directors, entrusting the team with the responsibility of providing strategic leadership and governance oversight for Ezulwini Palazzo.

The newly appointed Board brings together a wealth of expertise from the legal, business, governance, and public sectors, positioning it to guide one of Eswatini’s premier meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and events destinations into its next phase of growth and development.

Leading the Board is Advocate Mbuso Simelane, who serves as Chairperson. He is joined by HRH Prince Saziwengaye, Dr. Celucolo Peter Dludlu, Samukelisiwe Mpimbili-Dlamini, Malangeni Henry Mhlabane, Lindiwe Gwebu, and Sifiso Crispin Dlamini.

Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, Minister Mkhonta-Simelane highlighted the importance of strong governance in ensuring the continued success and sustainability of Ezulwini Palazzo.

“The appointment of this Board marks an important step in strengthening governance and positioning Ezulwini Palazzo for future growth. The members appointed today bring diverse expertise and experience, and I am confident that they will provide the strategic leadership required to advance the institution’s mandate while upholding the highest standards of accountability and service excellence,” said the Minister.

She further encouraged the Board to champion innovation, transparency, and collaboration as they work with management and stakeholders to enhance the Palazzo’s contribution to Eswatini’s tourism, hospitality, and business events sectors.

Accepting the appointment on behalf of the Board, Chairperson Adv. Mbuso Simelane expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in the directors and pledged their commitment to serving with integrity.

“We are honoured by the trust that has been bestowed upon us and fully appreciate the responsibility that comes with this appointment. On behalf of the Board, I wish to assure the Honourable Minister that we will execute our duties with integrity, transparency, accountability, and professionalism. We are committed to providing sound governance and strategic leadership that will contribute to the continued growth and success of Ezulwini Palazzo,” he said.

The Board’s mandate includes providing governance oversight, ensuring accountability, supporting sustainable growth, and guiding the strategic direction of Ezulwini Palazzo as it strengthens its position as a leading destination for conferences, exhibitions, and major events.
