Couples in Eswatini are counting down to a unique day of adventure, connection and outdoor fun as Khuselwa Farm Adventures in Lugaganeni, Manzini, prepares to host the inaugural Couples Day Out Retreat on 15 August 2026.

Designed for married, engaged and dating couples, the first edition of the retreat promises to bring love, adventure and nature together in an experience aimed at helping couples reconnect, strengthen their relationships and create lasting memories away from their everyday routines.

Running from 7:00am to 5:00pm, the retreat is centred on the theme “Strengthening Love Through Adventure, Fun and Connection in Nature.” Participants can expect a full programme combining outdoor activities, team challenges, entertainment, reflection and opportunities to simply enjoy quality time together.

The day will begin with arrival and registration, followed by an opening session and light breakfast. Couples will then embark on a nature hike, providing an opportunity to explore the surroundings while enjoying the outdoors together.

For those seeking a dose of adrenaline, quad biking will form part of the adventure, while the Couples Fun Games Challenge will test teamwork and friendly competitiveness. The programme will also feature a water bucket relay, hoola hoop fun and a couple dance-off, creating plenty of opportunities for laughter and interaction.

Beyond the physical activities, the retreat will also make room for meaningful connection. An appreciation circle and reflection and sharing session will allow couples to pause, celebrate their experiences and express appreciation for one another.

Food and celebration will also be part of the day, with lunch included and an awards and trophy ceremony recognising achievements during the various activities. Participants can also look forward to great prizes, a dedicated photoshoot and opportunities to capture lasting memories.
