COUPLES INVITED TO RECONNECT AT KHUSELWA FARM ADVENTURES RETREAT

LUGAGANENI, MANZINI – In a world where busy schedules, work commitments and daily responsibilities often leave little room for quality time, couples are being invited to step away from routine and rediscover the joy of meaningful connection through the inaugural Couples Day Out Retreat hosted by Khuselwa Farm Adventures.

Set against the tranquil natural surroundings of Lugaganeni, the retreat has been carefully designed for married, engaged and dating couples seeking to strengthen their relationships while enjoying a day filled with adventure, fun and intentional bonding.

The first-of-its-kind experience combines outdoor activities, team-building challenges and guided relationship exercises aimed at fostering trust, communication and emotional connection. Organisers say the retreat offers couples a refreshing alternative to traditional relationship workshops by creating opportunities to learn, grow and reconnect through shared experiences.

Participants will spend the day engaging in a variety of activities that encourage teamwork, laughter and meaningful interaction. From scenic nature hikes and trust-building games to adventure experiences and reflective sessions, every aspect of the programme has been structured to help couples deepen their connection while creating lasting memories.

The retreat begins with an energising welcome session, followed by a guided nature hike featuring conversation prompts designed to encourage open dialogue and reflection. Couples will then take part in a series of interactive challenges that test cooperation, communication and problem-solving skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Among the highlights of the day is the Couples Fun Games Challenge, featuring activities such as the Blindfold Trust Walk, Water Bucket Relay, Apple Balance Challenge, Team Ski Race and other engaging competitions. Sporting activities, including seven-a-side ladies’ soccer, men’s basketball and a tug-of-war contest, will add an extra element of excitement and friendly rivalry.

Adding a community-focused dimension to the event, couples are encouraged to bring donation items upon arrival. These contributions will be donated to a charitable cause selected by the winning team, reinforcing the values of compassion, teamwork and social responsibility.

Following the morning competitions, participants will be recognised during an Awards and Trophy Ceremony, where prizes will be presented for categories such as Best Teamwork, Most Enthusiastic Couple and Overall Champions.

The afternoon programme shifts towards relaxation and romance, with couples choosing between quad biking and archery before enjoying a buffet lunch and dedicated photography opportunities. The retreat concludes with a romantic dance session and an intimate Appreciation Circle, where partners are encouraged to express gratitude, share cherished memories and reaffirm their commitment to one another.
