THE EITF 2026 IS HERE, IT’S GOING GREEN

MANZINI – A trade fair that draws 70,000 visitors is not just an economic event. In Eswatini, it is a national experience and in 2026, it is going green.

Representing the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo, Principal Secretary Melusi Masuku delivered a compelling address at this morning’s official launch of the 58th Edition of the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) 2026 and for the travel and tourism sector, the message was as clear as it was exciting.

Held at Mavuso Exhibition & Trade Centre in Manzini, the launch set the stage for what promises to be one of the Kingdom’s most significant tourism-generating events of the year, scheduled to run from 28 August to 6 September 2026.

PS Masuku drew a meaningful connection between the EITF and Eswatini’s broader national identity, noting that as the Kingdom recently celebrated its 40th Coronation Anniversary, the trade fair continues to serve as a vital bridge, connecting local and international businesses while showcasing the richness of Eswatini’s culture, talent, and enterprise to the world.

For tourism stakeholders, perhaps the most exciting highlight was the acknowledgement of sports tourism as an established pillar of the EITF experience. Now in its third year, the collaboration between the Premier League of Eswatini and 8Bet has successfully woven sport into the fabric of the fair, drawing visitors who come not just to do business, but to experience Eswatini’s vibrant energy firsthand.

The 2026 edition will further enrich this visitor experience with a programme featuring live music, handcrafted local goods, cultural performances, and digital innovation showcases , a compelling blend of commerce and culture that positions the EITF as a must-attend destination event.

Sustainability took centre stage as PS Masuku officially unveiled the 2026 theme: “Unlocking Green Economy Opportunities for Sustainable Trade Promotion.” Seminars on circular economy practices, recycling, upcycling, and green finance will run throughout the fair, adding educational and experiential value for both local and international visitors.

With last year’s record-breaking attendance firmly in mind, PS Masuku extended a warm invitation to the world: “Come in your numbers and bring your green initiatives with you.”
