Eswatini’s newest upmarket dining establishment has officially arrived and if the menu is anything to go by, the Kingdom’s food and tourism scene will never quite be the same. Lesama, perched along the old Elangeni road to Lozitha next to the Masilela Complex in Ezulwini, flung open its doors to the public this week following a spectacular Friday evening launch.

With a menu that spans smoked salmon platters and Mozambican-style prawn cakes, lobster-cream fillet and chocolate chilli glazed steak, a theatrical fondue dessert collection and everything in between.
Lesama has arrived not with a whisper, but with an unmistakable statement of culinary intent. This is food that means business. This is a kitchen that has something to say.
In the ever-evolving landscape of Eswatini’s dining scene, Lesama stands out as a refined culinary destination where flavour, craftsmanship, and experience come together seamlessly. More than just a place to dine, it offers a menu that tells a story, one rooted in quality ingredients, global inspiration, and a passion for memorable food moments.
From the very first glance, the menu reflects intention. It is not overcrowded, but rather carefully curated to ensure that each dish is executed with precision and care. Whether you are visiting for a relaxed lunch, a sophisticated dinner, or a celebratory outing, Lesama’s offerings cater to a wide range of palates.
A Strong Start: Starters That Set the Tone
The starter selection introduces guests to the restaurant’s culinary philosophy, bold yet balanced flavours. Dishes like the Salmon Platter, layered with cream cheese, capers, and pickled onions, offer a delicate and refined opening. Meanwhile, the White Wine Mussels and Prawn Rossio’s bring in coastal influences, showcasing a subtle Mozambican touch that adds depth to the menu.

For those seeking something indulgent yet comforting, the Creamy Cheese & Roasted Tomato dish delivers richness, while the Halloumi & Pineapple Salsa provides a refreshing contrast of sweet, salty, and citrus notes.
Elevated Comfort: House Specialities
Lesama’s house specialities are where the menu truly shines. These are dishes designed to anchor the dining experience, hearty, flavourful, and beautifully presented.
Signature offerings like the Fillet Mignon with Lobster Cream elevate the traditional steak experience, while the Chocolate Chilli Fillet introduces a bold fusion of savoury and subtle sweetness. The Braised Beef Short Rib and Thea’s Grilled Oxtail pay homage to slow-cooked comfort, delivering depth and tenderness in every bite.

Equally noteworthy are the Herb-Crusted Lamb Chops and the Roast Vegetable & Halloumi Stack, ensuring both meat lovers and vegetarians are well catered for.
Global Influences on Every Plate
The main course selection reflects a blend of global cuisines. From the rich and aromatic Butter Chicken Curry to the flame-grilled, peri-peri infused Baby Chicken, there is a clear nod to both Indian and Mozambican culinary traditions.
Classic favourites like Chicken Schnitzel and Slow-Cooked Lamb Curry sit comfortably alongside these dishes, offering familiarity with a refined Lesama twist.

From the Grill & Ocean to Table
Grill lovers are treated to a selection of premium cuts, while the seafood menu further enhances the dining experience with options such as Pan-Seared Salmon, Kingklip, and generous Seafood Platters designed for sharing.
The inclusion of King Prawns sautéed in garlic, chilli, and lemon butter reinforces Lesama’s commitment to bold yet balanced flavours.
Pasta & Indulgent Comforts
For those drawn to comforting, rich dishes, the pasta selection does not disappoint. From the Creamy Garlic Mushroom Tagliatelle to the indulgent Salmon & Prawn Alfredo, each dish is layered with flavour and finished with a touch of elegance.
A Sweet Finale Worth Staying For
No meal at Lesama is complete without exploring the dessert menu. The Chocolate Fondue variations, ranging from classic milk chocolate to caramel-infused creations—offer an interactive and indulgent experience perfect for sharing.
Traditional favourites like Malva Pudding and the Milktart Cheesecake bring a proudly local touch, rounding off the menu with warmth and nostalgia.
