The Gogo Eswatini & Slwane Care Foundation is set to host eGumeni!, a women-focused mental health and empowerment event aimed at creating a safe and supportive space for women to connect, share experiences and explore pathways towards greater wellbeing.
Scheduled for Saturday, 3 October 2026, at Happy Valley Hotel from 09:30 to 16:00, the event will be held under the theme, “Mental Health’s Summon to All the Ladies of the Land!” The programme will feature interactive panel discussions, presentations, talks and collective healing sessions.
According to the organisers, eGumeni! is an extension of the foundation’s broader commitment to bringing care, hope and comfort to communities. The foundation says the event is built around the belief that women should have access to supportive spaces where they can openly engage with the different challenges they face in their personal and professional lives.
“Our work is primarily anchored on making our community happy and comforted from whatever they might be going through,” the organisers said. “This event is simply an extension of that premise, for the women of Eswatini to mingle, collectively heal and empower each other.”
The programme will bring together professionals and speakers from various fields, creating an opportunity for participants to engage with issues affecting women’s personal, professional and social wellbeing.
Among the featured speakers are Minister Savannah Maziya, Pastor Ntsiki Malaza, Lungile Dlamini-Leokaoke, Lwandle Simelane, Sanele Mduli, Sesenele Sukati, Vuyo Khumalo, Zindzi Twala, Nceda Myeni, Temvelo Mtshetfwa, Andile Shakwana and Enhle Maziabuko.
Topics highlighted for discussion include mental health, financial wellness, sexual and reproductive health, workplace challenges and other issues affecting women. The organisers say bringing together professionals in these areas is intended to provide women with greater awareness, encouragement and practical perspectives.
“This intervention is us saying; help is there,” the foundation said, describing the gathering as its contribution towards a healthier and more supportive Eswatini womanhood.
Women from across Eswatini are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the opportunity to connect with others, engage in meaningful conversations and participate in collective healing.
Programme directors Lindokuhle Mthupha and Bello Nkhosi will guide attendees through the day’s programme.
Entrance is E250, with tickets available exclusively through Smart Ticket.
The dress code for the event is “Come As You Are,” while affordable meals and drinks will be available at the venue.
With its focus on mental health, empowerment and community support, eGumeni! seeks to create a space where women can pause, connect and be reminded that support is available and that no woman has to navigate life’s challenges alone.
