MBABANE SET TO HOST LAUNCH OF PROPHET PROMISE’S FIRST BOOK

On August 29, 2026, Mbabane will host a significant gathering on the religious tourism calendar as Prophet Promise launches his first book, Called To Serve, My Prophetic Journey.

More than a traditional book launch, the event offers an opportunity for visitors, faith communities and spiritual seekers to engage with a personal testimony centred on calling, obedience, service and faith. It also highlights Eswatini as a destination where spiritual experiences, religious gatherings and faith-based storytelling form part of the country’s cultural and tourism landscape.

Beyond the Platform

Called To Serve takes readers beyond the public image of ministry to explore the journey that precedes the platform, including preparation, sacrifice, rejection, divine encounters and quiet acts of service.

Prophet Promise draws from experiences that shaped his understanding of service, including selling cream doughnuts as a schoolboy, raising chickens to support his education and secretly carrying food from home to families in need.

His upbringing also played an important role. Lessons of discipline, responsibility and excellence came from his father, while his mother and grandmother instilled compassion and generosity. The influence of his late grandmother, Gogo Mamba, is reflected in the Box of Hope initiative, an annual programme providing food parcels and gifts to elderly people every Christmas Day.

A Journey of Faith and Service

Central to the book is Prophet Promise’s account of encountering the voice of God at an early age while walking through the Sappi Forest to collect firewood.

His journey was not without challenges. He experienced seasons of misunderstanding, suspicion and rejection, moments that tested his faith and character. Yet these experiences became part of the process through which he believes he was prepared for ministry.

Rather than pursuing ministry solely through ambition, Prophet Promise describes a journey shaped by spiritual authority, mentorship and submission. His spiritual father, Apostle Dr C. Samunenge, alongside mentors including Apostle M. Ndlovukazi and Prophet Spirit-Life Thabiso Dlamini, contributed to his development.

The central message is clear: a calling may be received in a moment, but carrying it requires preparation, character, obedience and endurance.
